Braham Family Update

Hey!

It's Lexy here with the Braham family update. I hope you enjoy!

Landon- Landon is 18 monthes old now ( why people dont just say a year and a half, i dont know)and he bounces from wall to wall passing out hugs and kisses along the way. Some of the many words or phrases he has spoken in my presence include tuff tuff, dada, mamamama, lexy, i love you , tada, and the ever so popular peek-a-boo barn.

Lexy- I'm finishing up my seventh grade year now, thirteen going on fourteen.School drama club just finished and i am anticipating theater camp like a fourth grader going to a hannah montana concert. I'm currently practicing for the seventh grade spelling bee in early june, where i could win two hundred dollars and really awesometastic prizes.

Lori- Lori still works designing really pretty houses that give me an odd urge to play hide and go seek. I recently went to work with her and its SO MUCH FUN ! Its like Disney Land WITH a Label Maker ( yeah, I know , I'm THAT cool)

Daddy ( Stefan as you know him ) - My daddy is awesome. He is the shnizzle ( as hannah would say) . He just got done working for the census thingamabob in Newark . Cool beans right? Many people who havent seen him in a while may not recognize him ( his decreasing hair levels certainly contribute to that ), but he remains awesome, fun, and motivational. My friends are like daughters to him, its slightly terrifying he kind of resembles a thirteen year old drama club 'member when Hannah comes over. Creepy.

Thanks for reading !

'Taylor Swift's Sparkly Acoustic'

Dad again!

For those of you who don't know who Taylor Swift is, she's one of the latest and greatest younguns in the country music scene. That's her there on the left - and the aforementioned sparkly acoustic. The final product I came up with is on the right.

Lexy had a fine working acoustic, but it was a bit pink and 'little kiddy'. I desperately wanted her to play, but I can't blame a 12-year-old for not wanting to pick up the guitar more fit for a six-year-old. So I asked her who her favorite performer was, she told me Taylor Swift (and, of course, I had absolutely no idea who she was talking about), but when I saw a guitar, I knew this was going to be a fun project.

Eight days, two pounds of glitter, four dozen rhinestones and about half a quart each of black paint and Polycrylic later, and Taylor Swift's guitar was recreated. Since, I have heard Lexy play two chords on it, which has made the entire project worthwhile.

I hope to hear more soon (hint hint).

Hi!

Hi, I'm Lexy, I'm the twelve year old daughter of Stefan and the step daughter of Lori. My favorite things include singing, acting, and other artistic stuff. Even though I cant play it , one of favorite possessions is my guitar that my daddy designed to look like Taylor Swift's sparkly acoustic. What makes my dad's side of the family so rockin is that we always have parties and have lots of fun together.
As you know this is my first posting and all I got to say is what up with the fact that Landon is on the first page and I'm not. That's wacked out! (just kidding around I love that boy like a fat kid loves pie!) If you want to learn more about me than go to my blog at http://lexysblackboard.blogspot.com to read about my day. I pinky promise to type on both when ever I can! Thanks for reading!

Us

Greetings from Delaware! (...sounds like a postcard you hope you will never receive.)

If you are reading this, chances are you know who we are and are just checking up to see how much the kids have grown and how much hair I have lost. But if you're not one of those folks and somehow stumbled upon this blog, allow us to introduce ourselves.

We (Stefan and Lori) are a husband and wife team who each gave up jobs that bounced us from sea to shining sea to settle down in, of all places, Delaware. I am the proud father of 12-year-old Alexis Emily, who landed on Planet Earth in 1995. As for Lori and I, we have shared a last name since November 2006, following a torrid love affair separated by 2,100 miles of interstate highway. A few months after a barefoot wedding on the beach sands of Catalina Island, we were blessed with the news of a new addition to our family, and Landon Kenneth was born just three short hours before our first anniversary. (We didn't go out for a romantic dinner last year.)

Following marriage, we lived together in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - a remarkably well-kept secret of a town tucked amongst an uncountable number of overblown seaside resorts along the East Coast. Living in a resort town was hardly conducive to career advancement for either of us, though, and in August 2007, we relocated from Rehoboth Beach (median age 57) to Newark, Delaware (median age 22, courtesy of University of Delaware). One might say we moved from the coolest town in the state to the second coolest town.

We live in a circa 1850 dairy barn that has been converted into a handful of rustic loft apartments and a private art gallery. A lot of history lies on the 15 acres that remain of the original property, including a six-day encampment of General Washington and Marquis de Lafayette before their famous push to Valley Forge.

But regardless of what happened here in the days of yore, we are happening here now.

Coming up next - Lexy introduces her bubbly personality to everyone, followed by Lori's life, Pre-Stefan, in a nutshell, followed later by the Pre-Lori life for Stefan.
